Melissa McCarthy Doesn't Understand How Ariana Grande Sings From "That Little Tiny Body"

"I don't understand how that works."

Melissa McCarthy needs some answers. STAT.

McCarthy, one of TIME's 100 honorees, gave a toast at the TIME 100 gala last night. In her speech, the comedian joked about her ESPYs hosting gig this summer, expressed concern for gnome research—yes, gnome, as in garden gnomes—and gave a little shout out to Ariana Grande and her exceptionally petite frame.

"There's people fighting for human rights and medical cures and making the world happier by singing amazing songs like Ariana out of that little tiny body," McCarthy said. "I don't understand how that works." You and me both, McCarthy. You and me both.

Grande has joked about her figure before, most publicly when she posed in a sweatshirt that playfully drew attention to her small boobs. If her Jimmy Fallon skits and many musical impressions weren't enough of a hint, the "Dangerous Woman" songstress (and McCarthy, of course) has a wonderful sense of humor.
