Here's Both Sides of the Immigration Reform Debate at the Republican National Convention
VH1 got in the middle of a heated debate at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio this week. Dating Naked host Rocsi Diaz hit the streets at the RNC to hear from anti-Donald Trump protesters and his supporters on the topic of immigration. It is a hot button issues that both sides feel very strongly about, especially Trump's pledge to build a wall around the country to keep illegal immigrants from crossing our borders. So what are some other solutions for reforming immigration in America? Their answers? Divisive, to put it gently.
"Stop being afraid," one undocumented Hispanic man said. "Get out to the streets. To start organizing. To start getting empowered. Because we can support each other, and we can no longer need to be afraid."
Another person with a similar mindset said that Donald Trump is "not a Christian" and is attempting to "destroy family values."
But Trump's supporters had different opinions. "Trump wants legal immigration," one supporter said. "Get your paperwork and go to Trump. Work out a deal. He'll get people to go out and come back legally."
