People Are Pissed That Quentin Tarantino Used the Word "Ghetto" at the Golden Globes

It just might turn out that one of the most controversial moments from the 2016 Golden Globes didn't have to do with pot-stirrer Ricky Gervais.

Quentin Tarantino was accepting the award for Best Original Score on behalf of Ennio Morricone for Hateful Eight when he inexplicably said the word "ghetto." This immediately caused a storm of polarized tweets on Twitter, with many angry at Quentin's use of the word and some claiming that those who are angry had simply misunderstood.

After Quentin's speech, presenter Jamie Foxx got back up on the microphone to make note of what Quentin had just said. The tension was palpable and especially uncomfortable because Jamie starred in Quentin's 2012 film Django Unchained. Oof.
