Once in the Running To Replace Joan Rivers, NeNe Leakes Now Has Her Eyes on a Daytime Talk Show

Being an original cast member of a Real Housewives franchise means constantly having to reinvent yourself. Bethenny Frankel took her preference for party drinks and turned it into a profitable personal brand, Vicki Gunvalson changed partners (and maybe faces?), and NeNe Leakes made a foray into acting. Now, she is eying a spot on daytime TV. With stints on Glee, The New Normal, and Celebrity Apprentice, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star's profile has risen considerably since her days spent telling fellow housewives to close their legs to married men. She's currently starring on Broadway in Cinderella, and getting rave reviews from her costars. The Gossip Table reports that NeNe was in consideration to replace Joan Rivers on E!'s Fashion Police; the job ultimately went to Kathy Griffin. After playing guest host on The View, sources tell InTouch Weekly that NeNe is pursuing hosting gigs on similar shows, including CBS' The Talk. Good luck to NeNe on her quest for world domination. Let's just all forget about that time she interviewed Jermaine Dupri.
