Nene Leakes is Staying Strong Amid Her Husband's Cancer Diagnosis

Nene Leakes and her husband Gregg Leakes are getting an outpouring of support from friends and family after learning this week that Gregg has cancer.

Posting a photo of Gregg in what appears to be a doctor's office, Nene shared the news with her fans on Instagram. "Our New Normal and the fight begins," she wrote, giving a middle finger to the disease.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star expressed on the most recent season of the show concerns about Gregg's health. During one episode, Gregg was hospitalized for a “dangerously low” heart rate and underwent several tests so that doctor's could scan for a possible blockage.

In a follow up Instagram post, Nene shared the good news that Gregg had the cancer removed successfully via surgery. Now, they’re trying to decide whether or not he should start chemotherapy. She also thanked her RHOA co-stars, including her nemesis Kim Zolciak, for reaching out to offer their well-wishes.

Nene claims that she'll continue sharing Gregg's cancer treatments with her followers to encourage folks to take their health seriously. “Gregg wants to encourage all men to get regular physicals and labs!," she cautioned. "He was that guy that hated to see the doctor! (NO he doesn’t have prostate cancer) but listen, if anybody knows how to fight, it’s me and Gregg! Let’s do this cancer.”
