Did Teairra Mari Really Beat Up An Uber Driver? Get The Dirt Now

Next time, she should take a Lyft.

On this week's Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, Teairra Mari revealed that she's banned from Uber (something that would be hilarious if it wasn't so serious, a girl needs to get a safe ride in L.A. somehow!). So what's the real story?

In July 2015, Mari was charged with battery after her Uber driver alleged that she punched him and stole his phone charger after he originally declined to let her charge her phone in his car. Mari missed her initial court date for her trial, so a warrant was issued for her arrest. She later turned herself in, was arrested, and released. Prosecutors then offered Mari a plea deal, consisting of three years probation, an order to stay away from the alleged victim, 30 days of anger management classes and 15 days of community service. Mari maintains her innocence and claimed to have evidence against the driver, which is why she rejected the deal in favor of a trial.

Just last week, the case ended in a mistrial when the judge had to excuse himself due to illness. The case will be re-tried in November. Whew! Next time, we suggest she take a Lyft instead.
