FKA twigs Or Charli XCX: Whose New Music Video Is Weirder?

Today marks the YouTube Music Awards, which are back after a yearlong hiatus to honor the best music videos. Artists are releasing new visuals to their songs in honor of the day, and among those participating in the festivities are FKA twigs and Charli XCX. Pop punk Charli and indie abstract FKA hardly have much in common — that is, until you watch their new music videos. Both are bizarre, though for very different reasons.

First, we have the visual accompaniment to FKA twigs' "Glass & Patron," in which she's nine months pregnant giving birth to a never ending piece of rainbow cloth.

The video is uncomfortable and the choreography is on point, two things that are characteristic of FKA twigs' visuals. Then, there's Charli XCX's new video for "Famous," directed by Eric Wareheim. Charli's face is covered in scabs and there's a teenage girl who is addicted to the internet and eventually plugs an electrical cord into a man's bellybutton.

Either there was a theme for the YouTube Music Awards that we missed or Charli XCX and FKA twigs are smoking something loud. Whose music video do you think is weirder? Sound off in the comments section.
