LeBron James' Stylist on How to Go from Courtside to the Front Row
Brace yourself, New Yorkers. The biggest ballers and the most profound fashionistas will collide this weekend at New York Fashion Week and NBA All-Star Weekend. Think of it as Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries having a reunion lunch on the Lower East Side next to Kanye and Anna Wintour...but with a lot more action. From the NBA's annual Slam Dunk Contest to Ralph Lauren's fall collection hitting the tents, the two worlds are sure to have New Yorkers in a frenzy scrambling to attend the jam-packed weekend of events.
One guy who is going to be busy is LeBron James, who's been both a legendary athlete and a dapper GQ cover model over the course of his career. LeBron can direct all accolades to stylist Rachel Johnson, who always keeps him in the freshest threads, whether he's courtside or in the front row. "There used to be no parallel between fashion and the NBA," Rachel tells us. "Athletes didn't use to care about what they wore at all. It's completely different now."
Check out the video where Rachel takes us shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue for looks that can work for both NBA All-Star Weekend and New York Fashion Week.
