The Mannequin Challenge Helped Net Rae Sremmurd Their First No. 1 Single

Social media's latest craze, the #MannequinChallenge has just become Rae Sremmurd's new best friend. The rap duo's single "Black Beatles'" off of their latest album SremmLife II has skyrocketed to the top of Billboard's Hot 100 serving as the go-to track for the new viral video trend.

According to Billboard, Black Beatles’ is set to sell more than 120,000 downloads for the week ending 10 November and have been streamed over 35 million times. These numbers would put it ahead of Chainsmokers and Halsey’s "Closer", which has been number one for 12 weeks now.

Rae Sremmurd, who consists of Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, were quick to jump on the challenge themselves, posting a pretty cool one they made on stage at a show in Denver which got a ton of retweets. Other celebrities including Paul McCartney, LeBron James, and First Lady Michele Obama have used the trap banger for their own epic challenge videos.
