'BIG3' is the Place to Get Your All-Star Summer Basketball Fix

Ice Cube's BIG3 basketball league tipped off its inaugural season last Sunday, and it got off to an exciting start. It gave fans a wave of NBA nostalgia bringing back our favorite ballers including Allen Iverson and Jason Williams. Rashard Lewis proved that he's still a force to be reckoned with after hitting a clutch free throw to give the 3 Headed Monsters their first win, but it was DeShawn Stevenson who earned most of the spotlight after an incredible game-winning moment.

First off, the 3-on-3 basketball league plays a little differently than the NBA. Games are played without a time limit and are won by the first team that reaches sixty points, with the caveat that they must win by two. Stevenson and team Power were leading the Tri-State squad 59-58, when Power caught a lucky defensive break from a missed three by TS. Now with possession, DeShawn put the team on his back and led Power to their first victory of the season after draining a deep three from "Steph Curry land" for the clutch win. Fans in attendance at the Barclays Center reacted accordingly. Watch below.

Week 1 was an exciting treat for NBA fans. Seeing our favorite retired NBA stars back on the court was like a dream.
