R. Kelly struggles with accepting his transgender child, Chris Brown hints at dropping a summer love song, and Lorde sees no problems with nearly nude pop stars.
Pharrell Williams has been invited to become a member of the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences. Yeah, those are the folks who give out Oscars. And since P was recently nominated for an Academy Award for his song, "Happy," there's no doubt that the man has great taste. [NME] Lorde doesn't mind if Rihanna or any other pop star walks around scantily clad. Besides, she figures there are more pressing problems on which society should be focused. It's obvious that Lorde is a pretty deep thinker, judging from her hit track, "Royals." Below, watch her performance from VH1's You Oughta Know concert last year. R. Kelly is apparently not accepting that his teenage child now identifies as a boy instead of a girl. Kells' ex-wife, Andrea (now starring on VH1's Hollywood Exes), says the R&B crooner still refers to their fourteen-year-old as Jaya, as opposed to the teen's new name, Jay. We can only hope that Kells comes around to support his child. [TMZ] Chris Brown wasn't playing when he promised us some new tunes! After having been released from jail, Breezy is dropping songs left and right. On Instagram, he teased a new track called "New Flame," which features some serious fire in the form of Usher and Rick Ross. We can't wait to hear it! [MTV News] [Photo Credit: Getty Images]
