Jackie Says She & Draya Had A Touching Off-Camera Conversation Until Malaysia & Brandi Showed Up

Draya Michele's exit from Basketball Wives LA didn't go without a little drama but have any of the ladies seen her since filming ended? VH1 chatted with Jackie Christie about where she and Draya stand today and about their off-camera meeting at a Star Magazine event where they ran into cast mates Brandi Maxiell and Malaysia Pargo and things got weird.

Jackie told VH1, "When I saw [Draya] at the party we actually ended up being seated together. It was a little icy at first because I don't think she knew [what I knew about her leaving the show] and she was like, 'Hey, Jackie' and I said, 'Hi, Draya' and then we got to talking. It was really great to just be with Draya without all the extra stuff, the people around who could influence her.

She said to me, she said, 'I just want you to know how much I appreciate you and how much I've learned from you.' I said, 'Vice-a versa.' She said, 'You know I have nothing but respect for you, out of all the people that I've worked with, especially in reality television, I would work with you any time of the day or night. You are a true professional, you don't take it home with you, and a lot of the stuff that people say about you or do to, is wrong. It's hurtful and I feel like they owe you a huge apology, we all do, and I'm sorry, I just want you to know that I think you're all that and then some. You're a true boss and I mimic a lot of what you do.' It really touched my heart. I was choked up because I really couldn't believe it. I was like, 'Really?' and I had to ask her twice like, 'Draya are you just?' and you know she was genuine.

Then Malaysia and Brandi showed up at that party and someone was going to sit them with me but then they saw Draya, and they said, 'No, we're not going to sit there.' They reached out to give me a hug and it was so awkward, because usually it's those guys and I'm the odd man out and this time it was different. You know, I'm not involved in whatever [they] have going on. I said to them,'You're welcome to sit down,' hoping that maybe they could work it out but I wasn't going to initiate it. They said, 'No, we're going to go over here. We're not doing this to you. We don't want you to think we're being rude to you, we just won't sit with her,' and they went on.

I sat back down and Draya and I talked for a bit longer and she was really uncomfortable so she decided she was just going to leave, so I walked her out to her car, and we said goodnight. That was when the paparazzi got those shots of me and Draya. She posted it on her [Instagram] page, and said something like, 'When respect outweighs the disrespect.' And then I reposted it and that was pretty much it. That was the last time I saw Draya or talked to her."
