Jay Z is So Desperate to Get People to Sign Up for Tidal That He Might Literally Call and Thank You

Despite all of the star power behind Jay Z's Tidal music service, the reactions so far are decidedly mixed. And that's putting it mildly. Both artists and fans alike are speaking openly about how much they hate it.

What can Hov do to turn it all around? Personally call select users and thank them for subscribing, of course! According to Business Insider, Jay is calling some his customers to chat. The results from fans are, predictably, pretty hilarious. "One of them made the funniest comment," a Tidal exec revealed. "He said 'This is the best customer service call I’ve ever received!'"

Jack White, as well as several other high profile musicians, are also taking the personal route and picking up phones. Is it cute, or a desperate appeal for customers?
