Friday Face-Off: Marky Mark And The Funky Bunch vs. New Kids On The Block
What better way to kick off St. Patrick's Day weekend than pitting two quintessential Bostonian performers head-to-head in Friday Face-Off? That's right, booze nothing, which is why it's Wahlberg vs. Wahlberg as you vote to decide if Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch's "Good Vibrations" or New Kids On The Block's "Step By Step" makes being Irish cooler. Check out our case for each while we grab another Jameson and ginger (it's St. Paddy's Day somewhere).
Team Marky Mark
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch "Good Vibrations" - I think it's safe to say many women had good vibrations in their pants in 1991 after the debut of this music video featuring the youngest Wahlberg mainly shirtless, lifting weights, caressing women and being a general badass. It's like Mark crammed in every sexy thing he could possibly do except a backfl--oh, nevermind. There he goes.
Team Donnie D
New Kids On The Block "Step By Step" - Who's the guy rocking the Public Enemy shirt in the pop video? Oh, of course it would be Donnie Wahlberg, NKOTB's requisite bad boy member. He rolls into the video on a motorcycle for god's sake. That little smirk Mark's big bro is rocking while he's cruising is kind of attractive, though. I can almost forgive that teased-to-heaven semi-fro atop his head.
