Debra Messing and Susan Sarandon Are Feuding on Twitter Right Now
Debra Messing and Susan Sarandon are beefing on Twitter right now, and gay men have never been more frazzled.
It all started when MSNBC's Chris Hayes had Sarandon--a Bernie Sanders fan--on his show All In With Chris Hayes Monday night. He asked Sarandon if Sanders supporters should vote for Hillary Clinton if their guy doesn't get the bid. "I think a lot of people are like, 'Sorry, I just can't bring myself to vote for [Clinton],'" Sarandon answered. "Some people feel that Donald Trump will bring the revolution immediately if he gets in...Things will really explode." Messing took Sarandon's quote as a Trump endorsement should Clinton get the Democratic nomination. And this annoyed her. Naturally, she took to Twitter and let Sarandon have it.
Sarandon later clarified her words were not an endorsement--"LOL that I would ever vote Trump," she tweeted--but Messing was still steamed. And she continued to tweet.
Sarandon finally replied to Messing Wednesday morning. Don't mess with a ping pong champion.
But, then again, don't mess with Grace Adler. Messing fired more shots.
Annnnnd Sarandon clapped back.
The image of these two women viciously typing on their phones is more hilarious than the episode of Will & Grace where Britney Spears guest-starred. Neither of these women are backing down, which is great. (Both are entitled to their opinions!) However, we vote they put their Twitter fingers to rest and do a sitcom together. Maybe just not about politics.
