Even though the Iron Curtain has been down for more than 20 years, Russia is still facing opposition. But this time it's coming from an unlikely force — popular musicians. Whether they're protesting Russia's anti-gay legislation, speaking out against police brutality, or they've somehow made public mishaps, the musicians on our list have been met with lawsuits, visa denials, and more.

Hop into our gallery to find out who's caused controversy in Russia — and who managed to stand their ground.
