Could we soon be hearing new tunes from John Mayer? Adam Levine is criticized for a less than patriotic remark, and Daft Punk's new album takes the top spot.

After an interview in which Nicki Minaj cited Lil' Kim as an inspiration to her current success, Kim began retweeting disparaging messages to her Twitter feed, relaying that Minaj wasn't sincere and is actually subversively starting beef. We're a little confused. [Bossip]

After being taken out of the game by a growth on his vocal cords, John Mayer is back and is beginning to record new music. Can't wait to hear what the singer-songwriter has in store. [E!]

Adam Levine doesn't actually hate the country, despite his remark to the contrary. While judging The Voice, the Maroon 5 frontman made a quick joke when the competition didn't go his way. He then took to Twitter to explain that he was, indeed, joking. Relax, America. [CBS News]
