A Day in the Life of Tiffany Haddish Reveals Why She's Going to Own 2017

2017 is on the up and up for comedian Tiffany Haddish. She's starring in the upcoming film Girls Trip, she's a regular on The Carmichael Show, which is returning for a third season, and she's constantly stealing the show on VH1's Hip Hop Squares. Whether she's making it rain on a model, spitting an impromptu "So Far Gone" freestyle, or entering a walk off with Don Benjamin, her fearless comedic persona is consistently winning over audiences.

Although, Tiffany makes it look like being a female comedian is all fun and games, in her day in the life documentary she reveals that being a woman in this industry has its obstacles.

"Being a female comedian in the entertainment industry is not the easiest thing," Tiffany reveals. "You have to be strong, you have to know what you want, you have to have a point of view, and you can't let people walk all over you."

She proves that she practices what she preaches. The Keanu star shares an example of dealing with racism in Hollywood by not being invited to a celebrity Super Bowl party because the color of her skin. As she explains the story, the anger and disappointment in her face and voice grows. It shows that its been a rough mountain to climb, but her 2017 roadmap shows that she's strong enough to work past it.

From starring alongside Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, and Regina Hall in the upcoming summer hit Girl Trip, to landing another lead role in the film Grand Marquee, Tiffany's work demonstrates that she knows how to navigate through the dim parts of Hollywood and achieve success.
