Twitter Thought Oprah's Speech at the 2018 Golden Globes Was Missing One Little Thing

"I know it was a joke before, but...we gonna get this Winfrey 2020 thing crackin or nah?"

As far as we're concerned, Oprah is the G.O.A.T. She is truly the greatest of all time when it comes to everything from hosting talk shows and opening schools for disenfranchised girls to book recommendations and fashionable glasses. Seriously, how many actors stopped mid-sentence during their acceptance speeches at the 75th Golden Globe Awards tonight and just said "OPRAH!" because she was sitting casually in the front row like the boss that she is?

There wasn't a better recipient for the Cecil B. Mille Award, which honors "outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment". Her acceptance speech was everything. She was giving us history by telling the story of Recy Taylor and Rosa Parks. She was giving us motivation by pushing for "the ability to maintain hope for a brighter morning even during our darkest nights." She was giving us hope by shouting to girls watching "that a new day is on the horizon... and when that new day finally dawns it will be because of a lot of magnificent women, many of whom are right here in this room tonight, and some pretty phenomenal men, fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time that nobody has to say 'me too' again."

Oprah clearly intended for this historic moment to be motivational (she's the first black woman EVER to win this award), but some of Twitter felt that the speech was missing one particular thing: an announcement that Oprah was running for President in 2020.
