Joe Budden Believes He Has an Explanation for Nicki Minaj's "Erratic Behavior" But Where's the Proof?

Nicki has always been Nicki.

Nicki Minaj's recent behavior seems all too familiar to fellow rapper Joe Budden.

The former Couples Therapy house guest took to his podcast to address the Pink Print rapper's recent antics on social media.

During his episode, he randomly asked "Let's all try to guess the drugs that Nicki Minaj is on," in response to a video circulating of Nicki opening up gifts from Chanel.

Joe defends his position by stating this is not the first time that he theorized Nicki was poppin' pills. He points to an interview Nicki's ex-boyfriend Meek Mill did with The Breakfast Club in May.

"Meek talked about him being hooked on pills when he was with her and the uphill battle it was for him to get off and I know that battle all too well. It's really really tough to get off of pills. So, I'm not trying to be funny. Anybody who knows my history knows I'm definitely trying not to be funny."

If you recall Joe's history involved severe drug abuse. Joe feels like it's time for someone to "intervene" before it gets "progressively worse." The instance that brought this to Joe's attention was a DM that Nicki sent to someone for criticizing her career saying she's "pushing 40" and needs to put out more mature content.

The main discussion of the podcast was about Nicki's reasoning for this sort of response. "Why is it that that's the response? Do you think that we're upset that you're rich and famous or do we generally want to hear good music from you."

Our question: Is this the first time Nicki showed out like this? The 35-year-old rapper has certainly voiced her opinions to fans in the past, so this isn't anything new. The savageness has been strong since the X-Men been formed (Chun-Li voice.)

Towards the end, Joe makes it a point to clarify that he is not "certain Nicki Minaj is on drugs or on pills." It just looks that way to him. The way she "comes off" is how she has always been. So can we really fault Nicki for being Nicki?
