Will Ferrell Hates Cancer and Will Play Video Games with You To Prove It
Are you up to challenging Will Ferrell in a video game showdown? For those brave souls who are, there's only one condition: You have to open your wallets.
Ferrell has played 37 hours of Asteroids straight, and is asking all those who want to join him to donate at least $10 to WillFerrelHateCancer.org to help families and children suffering from cancer. The comedic legend wants to "throw one of the coolest video game events in history of mankind" and asks fans to raise at least $375,000 for charity before he does. If he succeeds, Will will host the showdown October 26th and invites one lucky winner to personally join him in San Francisco for the two-hour gaming extravaganza.
Is Will's SuperMegaBlastMax Gamer Challenge the new ALS Bucket Challenge? Regardless, celebrities who give back are always kick-ass, and involving video games takes things to a whole new level.
Would Ferrell's Anchorman character Ron Burgundy be as generous? See the stars of the classic comedy reflect on their favorite scenes from the 2004 film, below.
