VH1 to Air "Stand Up To Cancer" Special, Executive Produced by Bradley Cooper

Coming to your screens this September!

VH1 is getting behind a wonderful cause tonight. The network will broadcast the Entertainment Industry Foundation's "Stand Up To Cancer" event, a biennial televised fundraising special that raises money for cancer research. VH1 is joining ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and more in airing the one-hour program during commercial-free primetime.

Bradley Cooper, whose father died of lung cancer in 2011, is serving as the program's executive producer. "No one is ever fully prepared to deal with the overwhelming and complex journey that comes with a cancer diagnosis," Cooper said in a press release. "SU2C’s mission, to ensure that all cancer patients become cancer survivors, is one that is very close to my heart. I am proud to join forces to make this vision a reality and to be part of this movement that is dedicated to getting lifesaving treatments to cancer patients faster."

VH1 will air "Stand Up To Cancer" tonight, Friday, September 9, from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST. Tune in to watch the star-studded event and to see how much progress SU2C has made.
