Kid Cudi took to social media to share a shocking update with his fans and supporters. The rapper penned an emotion-filled message to fans on Facebook letting them know that he'd be checking into a rehab facility for anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts.

Cudi explained, "I checked myself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges. I am not at peace. I haven't been since you've known me. If I didn't come here, I would've done something to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday of my life."

"There's a ragin violent storm inside of my heart at all times. Idk what peace feels like. Idk how to relax. My anxiety and depression have ruled my life for as long as I can remember and I never leave the house because of it. I can't make new friends because of it. I don't trust anyone because of it and I'm tired of being held back in my life. I deserve to have peace," he wrote.

The rapper went on to reveal that his forthcoming album Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin will still be released despite his absence. Fans can expect his record label and manager to keep them updated about the highly anticipated record.

Cudi closed his updated with an apology to fans writing, "Love and light to everyone who has love for me and I am sorry if I let anyone down. I really am sorry. Ill be back, stronger, better. Reborn. I feel like sh-t, I feel so ashamed. I'm sorry."
