'Paparazzi Princesses' And 5 Other Celebrity YA Books We Want To Read
Today marks the release of Paparazzi Princess, the novel by Reginae Carter and Bria Williams, the 14-year-old daughters of Lil Wayne and Birdman respectively, and we're kind of intrigued --- even fictionalized, their lives are bound to be juicy. The "princesses" follow the likes of Snooki, Hilary Duff, Lauren Conrad and Amar'e Stoudemire in this young adult novel trend. Kendall and Kylie Jenner are joining the fray soon too. But we think there are a few other stars whose fictionalized teenage years would make for ideal beach reading. Publishers, we're giving you these ideas for free:
The Fault in Child Stars
By Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes
The story of two promising child stars whose terrible parents and conniving hangers-on steer them into the path of drugs, bad wigs and ill-advised tweeting.
The first daughter turns 15 and starts writing a diary addressing Chelsea Clinton in the hopes that she'll come out of the White House without making any Bush-daughter-style headlines.
In a dystopian future, teens are chosen to fight to the death on a reality show in order to win a recording contract. One boy evades both death and the dreaded winners' curse but is forced to wear outlandish codpieces for the rest of his life.
The Perks of Being a Wizard
By Emma Watson
The story of a pretty little girl who becomes a massively famous child star and then gracefully transitions into more adult roles without ever being at risk of being pigeonholed. On second thought, this one might need a little more fiction!
A young girl and three of her friends must navigate the transition from girls to young women in the suburbs of Atlanta while under the watchful eye of Principal Cohen. The trials and tribulations each girl experiences with her friends and family not only drive them apart but bring them together.
