15 Teen Film Senior Superlatives
Graduation season is upon us and it's time to start recognizing who had the best hair, who was the most ambitious and who was the biggest slacker. Check out the senior superlatives assigned to characters from your favorite teen films.
There's no question Amanda Beckett (Jennifer Love Hewitt, Can't Hardly Wait) had the best hair. When she walked into the party after graduation, all eyes were on her and it was perfect. On the guys side, Trip (Josh Hartnett, The Virgin Suicides) rocked some serious style. No wonder Lux fell for him.
Remember when Darcy (Ali Larter, Varsity Blues) tried to seduce Mox with that whipped cream bikini? Only Jake (Chris Evans, Not Another Teen Movie) came close to topping that.
When Marcie (Julie Benz), Courtney (Rose McGowan), Fern (Judy Greer, Jawbreaker) walked through the hallway, everyone steered clear. It was their territory. It was like they had their own soundtrack of fierce walking music.
It was hard to resist Sebastian's (Ryan Phillippe, Cruel Intentions) charm. No wonder he bedded so many girls in high school. It's too bad he died so tragically. We'll always remember him. And then there was Cher (Alicia Silverstone, Clueless). Not only did she have great fashion sense, but she was so darned nice and determined, it was hard not to give her what she wanted.
If it weren't Brian (Anthony Michael Hall, The Breakfast Club), no one would completed that Saturday's detention assignment. He was such a brain. Meanwhile, Tracy Flick (Reese Witherspoon, Election) was not about to lose the race for Class President. She'll probably end up working for a Senator.
Torrance (Kirsten Dunst, Bring It On) thought she was handed the National Cheerleading Championship on a silver platter but it turns out the squad's routines were stolen. Leave it to her to make things right, pay for the Comptons' trip to Nationals and still get the Toros a second place trophy. Troy (Zac Efron, High School Musical 3) broke barriers when he not only played basketball but also pursued theater.
John Bender (Judd Nelson, The Breakfast Club) was pretty much a deadbeat but Claire saw something special in him. Cassandra (Eva Amurri, Saved!) went from total outcast to slacker to the only friend of American Eagle Christian High School's pregnant girl.
Woodchuck Todd (Penn Badgley, Easy A) did it all: Wore the school's mascot costume and donned blue body paint. He sure made being a mascot look good. Then there's Vicki. She's spunky, school spirited but downright obnoxious about that damn yearbook.
Viola (Amanda Bynes, She's The Man) was so determined to play soccer after the girls' team was cut that she dressed up as a guy to keep playing on the guys' team. Ben (Jesse Bradford, Swimfan) was such a good swimmer that Stanford University came calling but then Madison got all crazy and tried to derail his future. What a bitch.
Stifler (Seann William Scott, American Pie) wasn't so much of a class clown as just a complete asshole. But he was funny about it and the star of the lacrosse team. Unfortunately, Cecile (Selma Blair, Cruel Intentions) was funny for all the wrong reasons. She was so clueless at times she made Cher Horowitz look good.
Gretchen (Lacey Chabert, Mean Girls) tried and failed to make fetch happen but it was probably due to all the secrets she started sharing. But if you needed the dish, she was the one to get it from. Laney (Rachael Leigh Cook, She's All That), on the other hand, was so focused on her art that she practically was ignored by everyone else until she become the target of a bet between Zack and Dean.
Patrick (Heath Ledger, 10 Things I Hate About You) wowed everyone in high school when he sang to Kat from the stands of the football stadium. Gina (Renee Zellweger, Empire Records) was also a surprise. Everyone just thought she was a slut. (she did sleep with Rex Manning!) But then she got up on the roof and sang her heart out while trying to save the record store.
This was a tough battle, so many cute couples came before Diane and Jack (Marley Shetlon, James Marsden, Sugar & Spice). But these two stuck it out after Diane got pregnant, they got kicked out by their parents and she robbed a bank. That's true love!
