With this past week's announcement that Lil Wayne will (finally) be dropping Tha Carter V in 2014, we couldn't help but replay some of the hits from the series' first four albums to get ourselves amped. Then we started to think about other artists who've come out with sequels to seminal LPs. So who's created a series of albums drawing on their previous stellar output?
Though there have been various albums that may play off each other thematically (think Nelly's Sweat and Suit or Radiohead's Kid A and Amnesiac), we've gone simply for the ordered series here. Who's kept up their creative streaks throughout the years — and who could hit us with even more from these lauded album sets?
Hop into our gallery to check out the album sequels we love and in the comments, let us know your fave!
