Veteran Scottish actor (and former punk rock bandmate of Craig Ferguson) Peter Capaldi will be the new Doctor on Doctor Who. The actor is best known to British audiences as a foul mouthed spin doctor on The Thick of It and is a lifelong fan of the show. [Guardian]
