Hillary Clinton Gave a Powerful Message to Jordan Davis' Mother During VH1's 'Dear Mama'

Hillary Clinton gave a powerful message to Lucy McBath, mother of Jordan Davis--the 17-year-old Florida student who was fatally shot at a gas station over a loud music dispute in 2012--during VH1's Dear Mama event.

The Democratic presidential candidate recorded the message, which you can watch Sunday, May 8 at 9 PM/8c when Dear Mama premieres on VH1. It's a truly moving speech, as Clinton showers her friend McBath with the praise she deserves for turning her "sorrow into a strategy" in the face of Davis' tragic passing.

"Lucy's heart was broken, but not her spirit," Clinton said. "Lucy's traveled from one end of America to the other to demand justice, accountability and real change."

She's come a long way and made a huge difference. McBath, along with other mothers, have become advocates for those affected by gun violence. "Honestly I don't know how you do what you do," Clinton addressed McBath in her message. "You're moving mountains through your faith and determination. Everywhere you go, you spread love."
