Prenups Are 'So' 2016, This Celeb Couple is Changing the Game by Filing for a Midnup
The last year or so has been tough on Kimye, but we thought that we saw a light at the end of the tunnel when it was announced that Baby West #3 was on the way via surrogate. We know that Kim is not a fan of the rumor mill, but Radar Online reports that Kim Kardashian West and hubby Kanye West are in the midst of drafting a mid-nuptial agreement.
In case you have never heard of a midnup before, don't worry, neither had we. It's pretty much the same as a pre-nuptial agreement, but it happens in the middle of a marriage instead of before. This doesn't necessarily mean that there is trouble in the marriage, either. It seems that the issue here is Kanye's current financial struggles. According to an insider, "He's making all kinds of deals right now that are very high stakes, and Kim's nervous."
And we all know that Kim ain't no punk, so she's hollering, "We want midnups!" Can you blame her? It's something that she needs to have, she has to protect her ass...ets.
Radar's source, “Kim’s worried sick about Kanye’s current situation, which has incurred millions in legal fees already, and is only getting more expensive and complicated. [Kim] wants to protect herself, and for all her faults nobody could blame her.” Basically, if things end up going south with Kanye's 10 million dollar lawsuit over canceled shows, Kim doesn't want to be like:
Absolutely understandable. You don't build an empire without putting some plans into place to make sure that it doesn't crumble. We have a feeling this is just the power couple covering all of their bases.
