ICYMI: Consequence and Busta Rhymes Joined A Tribe Called Quest to Pay Tribute to Phife Dawg on Saturday Night Live

"Let's make s--t happen!"

Iconic!

The only thing greater than Dave Chappelle hosting SNL this past weekend (11/12) was having A Tribe Called Quest as the musical guest. The group freshly released their album We Got It From Here...Thank You 4 Your Service and blessed us with two tracks off the project (which was honestly two decades overdue). Rapper and former Love & Hip Hop star Consequence joined Busta Rhymes on stage to perform "The Space Program."

Back in March, the world lost Malik "Phife Dawg" Taylor, but Saturday night was a reminder his legacy very much lives on. With a banner of Phife hanging in his honor, the men banded together to send a message of endearment that is the chorus, "Gotta get it together for brothers. Gotta get it together for sisters. For mothers and fathers and dead n---s. For non-conformers, won’t hear the quitters."

Consequence, who in case you didn't know is Q-Tip's cousin, appears on the album alongside an all-star lineup that include Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, Andre 3000, and many more dope contributors.

Check out the remarkable performance above and then shed all the beautiful tears for this joyful reunion of the hip-hop legends.
