Sassy + Ariane Respond To The Supreme Court Ruling In Favor Of Same-Sex Marriage Nationwide
If you haven't heard - today marks history.
A very divided Supreme Court ruled earlier today in favor of same-sex marriage being legalized nationwide, and both Black Ink Crew 's Sassy and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta's Ariane released impactful statements exclusively to VH1, as to what the ruling means to them as proud lesbians.
"I believe in love in all its forms. At the root of it, love comes from our souls. And if marriage is a declaration of love, then we should not place any boundaries or filters on who can or cannot participate in this ritual," Sassy said.
Ariane, who happens to be in one of the most loving relationships with her girlfriend Toni stated, “I’m dancing, singing, and being EXTREMELY GAY right now (pun intended)!!!! LOVE WINS!!!!"
Nearly 46 years to the day after a riot at New York's Stonewall Inn ushered in the modern gay rights movement, the new civil right is a major win for those in the LGBT community.
