Rich Dollaz and MariahLynn Give Their Thoughts on Rich's Table-Hopping Pursuit of Safaree at the 'Love & Hip Hop New York' Reunion

Rich says his actions were "embarrassing," but his words were misconstrued.

In case you missed it, the Love & Hip Hop New York reunion was jam packed with declarations of love and a whole lot of drama. One of the most talked about moments of the reunion was when Rich Dollaz got a chance to speak with Safaree about his relationship with Erica Mena. You remember that the coconut oil connoisseur also got into it with Joe Budden this season over his relationship.

Well, when Rich got to have his say about the situation, things turned real left real quick, and Rich ended up literally running up (and over some tables) on Safaree.

After the reunion, we asked Rich if he felt like his emotions about the entire MariahLynn saga may have contributed to his heated interaction with Safaree and whether or not he had any final thoughts on the issue.

He wanted to clarify, first of all, that his comments were not meant to be a diss to Erica Mena. He said, "Oftentimes people create a narrative and the narrative isn't right. I don't care that Safaree and Erica are together. Actually, what I said on stage was "Erica is ten n---as removed from me." What I meant by that was not a dig or slight at Erica. It wasn't saying that Erica had been with ten people. Erica has had boyfriends. We haven't been together in five years, six years, seven years --- I can't even remember how long. So what I was saying was that Erica has been with other people since me. How could I --- I can't worry myself with somebody I was with five years ago when we're removed. How can I get mad years later about somebody when we're that many people removed from one another? I've been with other girls."

He explained that he is simply too busy handling his own business to think about Erica or Safaree. He told VH1, "I got a whole daughter that's just enrolled in school. I got a whole baby mother that's in trial for shooting her husband. I got a whole diabetes episode. I got a whole MariahLynn. I got a whole bunch of stuff going on in my life that Erica and Safaree are not high on my priority list in terms of where I stand in their relationship. I wish them the best."

But he insists that his actions came as the result of Safaree's attitude, "Now, with that being said, I saw how Safaree came with his energy with Joe and, as I'm sitting in the chair I said, 'I'm gonna try to get my point across, I'm gonna try to be as diplomatic as possible, I'm gonna try to be as non-confrontational as possible, and I'm gonna say what I have to say.' And the first thing out of my mouth is misconstrued that I'm taking a jab at somebody. In actuality I wasn't."

And he does still feel like Safaree should have told him about his relationship with Erica: "Safaree should have said something. Me and Safaree have had conversations, me and Safaree have hung out, me and Safaree have had multiple conversations about all kinds of different things. He could have just said it. But he didn't. And that was the only thing that I was trying to convey. And then the energy that he had with Joe, I was adamant that that energy wasn't going to be shown to me, and that's kind of why I absolutely overreacted in the moment. But I had just seen through that segment and watched how he talked to Joe Budden and in my mind as I'm sitting there I'm like, 'That's not about to happen.'"

At the end of the day, Rich knows that he needs to apologize. "Absolutely, there's an apology to be given and I apologize for my actions because I shouldn't have--I absolutely overreacted in that moment--but, all things considered, I was on guard. I probably should have just sat back and, you know, you're supposed to think three times before you speak once and I probably should have given it some thought because nothing he said could be that serious for me to jump and and do what I did. And it's actually embarrassing that a 43-year-old man is running across tables and sh-t, but, it happened, it's in the past now. We move past it and move on."

For MariahLynn's part, we wondered if she was upset after seeing him go so hard for Safaree about his ex, but it looks like she is unbothered.

She told VH1, "Honestly, it didn't bother me at all. I don't feel no way because I don't think it was about Erica, I think what Rich was trying to say it that there's like a Man Code. Like the Girl Code, you know? If you're my friend, you're not gonna mess with the dude that I messed with. Or if you are, be honest about it. I think that being not only co-workers, but Rich seeing Safaree as someone who is like a bro, he broke the Bro Code. I think that he just felt like Safaree had plenty of opportunity to just man up and say 'Hey, this is my girl.' And Rich was trying to say, 'Erica has dated people before and after me, plenty of people after me. I've dated plenty of people after her. So I think he was more or less frustrated with the fact that people keep tying Erica to him when it's so far in the past and so far gone. Like, you're late, honey!"

It looks like, from now on, Mariah will be the only one Rich runs over tables for.
