K. Michelle Gives a Tearful Update on Her Health Post-Surgery

"It’s been so painful. It’s been a lot. So I just thank God that I made it out on the other side.”

K. Michelle gave an update on her health in an emotional Instagram story that has fans wishing her a speedy recovery. The singer has been going through the motions to finally be free of the fillers that she had injected into her butt, which has included two surgeries and a whole lot of recovery. Clearly, the process has been emotionally taxing.

The singer went on Instagram Live and, in a video obtained by The Jasmine Brand, can be seen crying while updating fans on her condition.

Giving her update from the hospital, the 34-year-old said, "I’ve been sick. I’m doing better. So I love y’all, so much. It’s been so rough. I’ve had blood transfusions, everything. It’s been a really rough week." She continued on through tears, "But I thank y’all for everything. I’m ok. I’m crying because I’m happy. I’m not crying because I’m sad. It’s been so painful. It’s been a lot. So I just thank God that I made it out on the other side.”

Getting a blood transfusion is no joke--it means that K. Michelle may have experienced some complications while in surgery. She told fans that she has a new perspective after going through the pain of surgery again, "I didn’t know what was going to happen to me. And nobody did. So this is the first time in my life I’ve ever gone through something like that. So, really I just see things a whole lot differently. And I thank everybody who is there for me."

The artist, who has been speaking out publicly about having to have her fillers removed since her first surgery back in January, went on the Steve Harvey to talk about needing another surgery.

She has been super open about the pain that she has been in as a result of her fillers and warns women against getting them (although they're increasingly popular.) "I went and did the butt shots. Everybody was doing it. A lot of your favorite artists, we went to the same person. They’re sick too, but I just talk about mine. I don’t lie to y'all. I don’t tell y'all, 'Oh, this is great!' It'll catch up. So I said, if I can show them my body, and what I did, I can also show them the outcome and the consequences of it. So I’ve been very open about it."

We're wishing K. Michelle a speedy recovery!
