Chrissy Teigen Just Said What We're All Thinking About the Taylor Swift + Kanye West Feud
We're sure you remember Taylor Swift's not-so-subtle diss toward Kanye West at this year's Grammy Awards during her Album of the Year acceptance speech. Everything was light and fun until Swift alluded West was trying to take credit for her "accomplishments" and "fame" in his song "Famous." People gasped. Some people probably cried. A feud we thought had died in 2009 was resurrected like a zombie...or Jesus.
The reignited squabble is a lot of things--petty and passive aggressive, yes--but it's mostly just awkward and uncomfortable. And that's exactly what queen Chrissy Teigen, the ultimate voice of reason, thinks. She appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live Wednesday night, and host Andy Cohen asked Teigen--who is friendly with both West and Swift--what she thinks about the entire tête-à-tête. Her response is literally all of us.
"Oh, man," Teigen said. "See, it’s so hard when you’re put in the middle like that. It’s tough. I didn’t get to see it live, but I don’t know. It’s so awkward. It’s like an uncomfortable moment. It’s just weird. John [Legend] and I both were very uncomfortable by it.”
We were, too! C'mon, West and Swift! You're grown now. West has two kids! Why do y'all have to bicker like middle schoolers? It's just cringe-worthy at this point. Can't y'all just make up and release a duet that will set the world on fire?
That won't happen anytime soon. Teigen also added we haven't seen (or heard) the last of this bad blood. "Let me tell you, it’s not over," she dished to Cohen. "This is going to go on. This is being waged.”
Groan. Looks like those Team Taylor/Team Kanye shirts are here to stay.
