In addition to his many talents (musician, actor, author, great orator), T.I. is quick to #humblebrag about his skills in the kitchen--particularly when it comes to desserts. And on tonight's episode of T.I. And Tiny: The Family Hustle, he decides to roll with it to teach his daughter Deyjah to take pride in her work, and learn that there is life outside of pre-made sweet stuff and cake mix recipes.
So grab some eggs, sugar, and flour--whatever else you might have a taste for--and enroll yourself in T.I.'s School of Baked Goods. In case you haven't picked up on the subtle hints, this is about more than providing your loved ones with warm chocolate chip cookies...

Tip used Deyjah's love of baking as a metaphor for a larger lesson. Life is all about working hard to get where you want to go, and understanding the individual pieces that make up the greater whole. Making cupcakes from a box is fine--they still taste great!--but having the ability to create your own product from scratch, using your interest and special skills, only makes you a more understanding and well-rounded person. "As a father you try to cultivate the skills, and interests, and passions of your children and hope that they blossom into a multi-million dollar business so they can buy me a new house 'cause they tear mine up," Tip joked before sharing a celebratory high-five with his little girl while we salivated over their final product. It was also nice to see Tip spend some quality time with the more reserved Deyjah, who can all too frequently be overlooked by the Trouble Kid King or budding pop star, Niq Niq, but who obviously is a talented and thoughtful young woman with personality to spare. And even though he's her driver, provider, and authority figure, she deserves to sass him every now and then (yes, that's Chef Deyjah, Clifford).
