Ashley Graham Smartly Encourages Women to Shame Her Body

Here's why.

Last week, one of Sports Illustrated's very beautiful, very curvy, very-much-on-the-cover models Ashley Graham was told her image was "glamorizing" an unhealthy lifestyle. What's sad is this came from another model, Cheryl Tiegs (not to be confused with babes Chrissy Teigen).

She told E! News, "Your waist should be smaller than 35 [inches]. That's what Dr. Oz said, and I'm sticking to it. No, I don't think it's healthy. [Ashley's] face is beautiful. Beautiful. But I don't think it's healthy in the long run."

Here's the cover, for reference:

Leave it to Ashley, a pioneer in promoting female body empowerment, to swoop in and set this mess straight. "It's a shame that we have to bring other people down, but that's why I'm here. I've got to bring other women up," she told E! News.

Her mission is clear and the haters are only her motivators.

"Cheryl Tiegs may have said what she said and it may have hurt a lot of peoples' feelings, but my skin is so thick," she said. "I kind of rolled my eyes, I was like, 'Oh whatever, another one of these ladies.'"

Hold on, dusting off the haters is one thing, but why does Ashley think Cheryl's remarks were so "great"?

"The fact that she said it—it means that other women think like her. And what that means is that we really need to change the industry. There are too many people thinking they can look at a girl my size and say that we are unhealthy. You can't, only my doctor can!"

Boom. Ignorant comments are fueling Ashley's fire harder than Kanye going in on Twitter. Bring on the hate, haters, and watch Ashley while she be work, work, work, work, work.
